Kamera Skura is an art group founded on 12.2.1996 in Ostrava. The members are anonymous.

The group Kamera Skura began to develop it works in the middle of the 1990s in Ostrava. This region of the Czech Republic is marked by years of mining and industry and currently is undergoing a painful economic restructuralization. Intense economic stresses and bitter social tension are parts of this restructuralization, and influence the form of art of Kamera Skura, in spite of all this the group continues to broaden its event radius. The main features of continuity in the social context is undoubtedly focused style dis-unity of individual pieces which pulse significantly with internal narratives (coming from the depths of the mythoglogy of the group) to the clearly defined social probes. In 2003, Kamera Skura with the Slovak group Kunst-fu represented the Czech Republic at the Bienale in Venice with the project called SUPERSTART „a three-meter skulpture“ of a stylized figure of Jesus Christ exercising on gymnast rings.
