Andrea Martignoni is Italian performer, sound designer, historian and distributor into the field of Animation. He has created soundtracks for short animated films by Blu, Saul Saguatti, Michele Bernardi, Pierre Hébert, David Buob, Roberto Catani, Petra Zlonoga Iain Gardner and others. He teached history of animation in Fine Arts Palermo and in 2014 in IULM University in Milan. He works closely with several international festivals with master classes, workshops, lectures on topics related to animation and soundtrack. He is often invited to international juries and selection committees throughout the world.He has performed with Basmati, Pierre Hébert, Theodore Ushev, Compagnia d?Arte Drummatica, Edoardo Raon, Mazen Kerbaj, Fred Frith, Philip Greenlief in several international film and music festivals in Europe. Carries workshops together with Basmati B.C. and Ottomani Cultural Association and his active in promoting the Italian animated film internationally. He won the Golden Reiter for the best soundtrack to the 23th edition of the International Short Film Festival FilmFest Dresden and the
Asifa Award Italy in 2010. He curated with Paola Bristot, ANIMAZIONI, a DVD collection about Italian contemporary animation.
- Course contents:

A two-hour master-class by a contemporary animated film sound designer. A sought-after artist presents films in which he took part as a sound designer, focusing on his approach to them. As well, pieces will be presented which are pivotal for the linking for animation and sound.
