Module will consist of two main parts - lecture with film screening and practical creative attempts by students. The lecture with present particular examples from world authorial cinema and will help students to open up their understanding of the core, spell and uniqueness of mise-en-scene (and its concrete parts - story, camera, acting, sound, montage).
In the rest - main part of the Module - students will have to complete three creative tasks - the content of the each task will be given at the beginning of the module.
Tasks in general are
- writing of a short scene
- deciding and analysis of shot division
- shooting.
It is also possible to analyze and discuss students others individual scripts and projects.
Successful completion of Module will depend upon students´ creative approach towards the subject.

Content of the lecture:
1.Introduction to the film language and film mis-en-scene. Different emotional and informational value of different sizes of shots, narration in images and creative equality of usage of a sound and visuals in the film.
2. What does it mean to work with actors in the given mis-en-scene. The play with tension, secret, slow revealing of the emotions and informations, play with meanings, discovering the creative and unique play space for your actors in the each film scene. Understanding that not only actors are ?acting? in the mis-en-scene but also every object, props and the whole space of shot itself.
3. Camera in the mis-en-scene. Importance of light, space and camera angles and movements. Phenomenon of cinematic cinema. DOP Sven Nikvist and his point of view about visuality. Visuality and spell of colors.
4. Sound dramaturgy in mis-en-scene. Analysis of different creative usage of a sound in the world cinema. What is sound close up and sound master shot. The creative possibilities of boundlessness of the sound.
5. Film montage. One shot and its many meanings. Montage and antimontage theory of the film mis-en-scene. Rhythm of the film. Ellipsis. Parallel montage. Cross montage. Jump cut. Dreams, memories and reality in montage. The montage inside the shot. Film like a beautiful visual and sound composition..
