Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of the course is a extension of student interpretation skills in a wider context of artistry and philosophy.

Topic: The concept of crisis and modern traditions.

Context: popular literature (Fantomas and the Avant Garde, detective novels and paradigms of traces, Film Noir). Issues in methods in „researching“ humanity (Carlo Ginsburg, Giorgio Agamben).

Mode of study:

Classes and discussions with students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course continues lectures in „Contemporary Philosophy“, focused on crisis phenomena in a wider and philosophical as well as cultural context.
