Course contents:

For such a small country, Austria has made a disproportionately large contribution to post-war Avant-garde film. In this course we will examine some of the major works made there in the 20th century (there is lots of contemporary activity for future exploration). This is primarily a viewing course, with background & anecdotal information and discussion. Screenings at Ponrepo focus on seminal Austrian experimental filmmaker Peter Kubelka.
