Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Increase of basic grammar and lexical knowledge.

Ability to communicate in simple practical situations

Basic study vocabulary.

The A2 course is divided into two semesters. The first is concluded with credit and the second with an exam.

Mode of study:

Reading and analysis of adapted writings, listenings, presentation and practice of vocabulary and grammar structures, moderated discussions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Registration requirement: A1 course knowledge.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

Working with lessons 8-11

Presentation and practice of grammar structures of the given lesson.

Conversation: Finding one's way in the city, City sight-seeing, Cultural life.

Students understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to common topics (ex: basic information about oneself and one's family, shopping, toponymics, employment). The student is able to communicate in simple and common tasks which require a simple and direct exchange of information about known and common situations. The student is able to simply describe their family, immediate environment and situations regarding their immediate needs.

Students also learn study vocabulary corresponding to the course level.
