Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Introduction to the phonetic, grammatic and lexical bases of Spanish.

Ability to react in simple everyday situations.

Mode of study:

Reading, Listenings, presentations and practice of lexis and grammar structures, moderated discussions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course is intended for students who have not previously studied the language.

Unit 0 - What's your name?

Numbers and surnames

The alphabet

Unit 1 - Classmates

to give and to ask, personal data (number, age....), greetings and goodbye.

how to ask about words, nationalities

the genus, the three conjugations: -ar, -er, -ir, the verbs, ser, tener and llamar se, the numbers 1-100

Unit 2 - What we want to do in this Spanish course.

express intentions, express interests, explain motivations of what we do.

the present indicative (verbs ending in -ar/-er/-ir), uses of a, con, de, por and para. the definite article, the subject personal pronouns.
