1. Introduction to the basics of the M. Graham technique.

2. Introduction to individual elements of that dance technique.

3. Introduction to methodic and educational procedure in its instruction.

4. Gradual learning of those procedures.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Completion of Selected Methods of Modern Dance 1.

Course contents:

Modern dance method means and understanding of the uniqueness of this dance branch, its blending with other influences, creative approach to instruction, finding one's teaching style.

1. Introduction to fundamental modern dance technique principles (Graham)

2. Introduction to individual elements of that technique

3. Method and education procedures in their instruction

4. A creative approach to instructing modern dance.

Credit is awarded based on: participation in lectures, exercises and class.

The requirement for successfull completion of the course is the development and presenation of a teaching performance - teaching skills and adoption of methods are evaluated. The exam is oral.
