To acquaint students - non-dancers - with the movement and dance basics of American Modern Dance (M. Graham, J. Limon) and link those principles to various movement variations and phrases. An ability to use „falls“, rotations, spiral movements /bend/, jumps to falls, contractions and extensions, swing exercises with breath emphasis in order that they are natural and adequate for any situation - not only dance.
For the application of some elements, it is important to know how to join the step, rhythm and isolation movements of Jazz dance.
