Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The student is acquainted with the activities of the National Film Archives as a heritage institution. The task is entrusted to the student by the General director, division director and dept. head in which the work will take place. The student learns the work in an institution serving the overall support of Czech cinematography, from caring for the film heritage to the promotion of contemporary works (Film Commission, Film Promotion).

Mode of study:

The student participates in National Film Archives activities based on agreement with the General Director, Division director and Dept. head.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

The course content must be agreed upon with the General Director or division director and dept. head in which the work will take place. If the student is interested in working with film material, then it is necessary to prove sufficient work in the area and reliability.

Course contents:

The student addresses the NFA General director (or division director) with topics which need to be resolved in the assisting activity. Upon approval, the assisting activity content is created by at least a oral agreement about the manner and schedule of the fulfillment of that work.

Recommended or required reading:

Readings and study materials will be specified in direct connection to the work to be performed.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Students receive credit based on submitted confirmation of work performed from the National Film Archives's director.
