The course aim is to broaden the technical foundation of the students in using digital technology and clearly show the connection to classic technology film production for distribution.

Mode of study:

Clear samples of individual steps in the editing room on examples of contemporary practice. Bonus: Analysis of the film „Amadeus“ director's cut vs. original release.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Viewing of both versions of the film „Amadeus.“

Course contents:

The objective of the course is to extend the basic technological skills students have in using digital technology and graphically demonstrate how the technology relates to the production of film for distribution. Individual steps are graphically demonstrated in the studio using examples of contemporary practices. Bonus: An analysis of the film Amadeus - director's cut versus original release.
