Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Lucy Raven (born 1977 in USA, lives in New York City) has over the last several years made a series of works that explore how contemporary mainstream films are made, and how massive shifts in the film industry also affect how we experience moving images. Her work has been included in exhibitions and screenings internationally including the Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana (2015); Portikus, Frankfurt (2014); Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco (2014); Hammer Projects, the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2013); Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2012). She currently teaches at the Cooper Union School of Art and the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Lucy Raven?s work is presented in the exhibition Moving Image Department ? 3rd Chapter: The Owl's Legacy and Its Discontents in the National Gallery in Prague and the artist is also leading a workshop with the students of the Fine Arts Department at UMPRUM in Prague.
