Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course is intended for students preparing their bachelor's thesis. It is to help students, particularly, in th idea and methodology aspects. It is a platform for discussion of the selected topics or manners of development.

The aim of the course is a preparation for the final theory thesis of the bachelor's study, selection of appropriate topics and group discussions over study issues.

Mode of study:

Contact instruction. During the semester, students select the groundwork and material which should help in writing. They are to consult with the instructor, present for assessment the introduction to their bachelor's thesis. Upon assignment of the topice students are to consult mainly with the thesis advisor but may, in class, find additional resources.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Successfull completion of the study courses of the previous year.

Course contents:

The fundamental method used for selecting Bachelor's thesis subject matter is through the use of older Baccalaureate and Masters work - learning their assets and mistakes, students learn lessons for their own work. The students' task is to study selected texts from the area of their interest. With this knowledge and their own ideas, students gradually refine their topic whose content is discussed in groups and further refined. Topic proposals and basic outlines of the bachelor's theses are discussed in a meeting of the department and after discussion are supplemented or partially altered so that at the end of the Winter semester the bachelor's thesis topic is assigned to students. As well, the advisor and tester are also named.

Teoretické práce vzniklé na katedře zvukové tvorby a další odborná literatura, volená z okruhu uvažované tematiky bakalářské práce.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on the evaluation of student activity in instruction.
