Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of the course is to refer to the psychological relationship between sound and image information which can be used creatively.

Mode of study:

Lecture with individual study of the assigned material.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Sound dramaturgy experience in creating an AV work.

Course contents:

The objective of the course is to reveal the ability of sound to influence the meaning or emotional reception of visual information presented to a viewer in an audiovisual work. Students learn about the kinds of information that sound can convey and the mechanisms that are capable of generating this emotional effect.

Recommended or required reading:

The necessary text material containing citations from recommended literature is currently given to students in the course of instruction.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded for active participation in instruction and for writing the assigned reflection upon it.
