Results of study may include, in particular an acquaintance with current strategic documents by the European Commission, critical skills for analysis and overview of the concept of film education and development of judgements/analysis, which investigate the possible application of that concept in a wider spectrum of film-education activity.
The aim is, as well, an expansion of the critical and analytical skills of the student in relation to the rise of strategic Pan-European documents which are closely related to the fields of the artists, film researchers and instructors.

Student will be acquainted with the basic documents which were published by the working group (particulary Screening Literacy Report and Framework of Film Education - available online at: http://www.bfi.org.uk/screening-literacy-film-education-europe). No particular requirements are placed on the student. An advantage is an acquaintance with the context of film-education activities for example on the web at: 222.filmvychova.cz (partially dictionary, commentary on writings).
- Course contents:

Studens will be introduced in lecture to the activities of the European Commission working group FLAG (Film Literacy Advisory Group), an advisory organ which prepared the Screening Literacy research (2011) and this year has completed the Framework for Film Education. This was adopted by the European Commission in June of this year and presented on June 19th, 2015 at the Cinematheque Francaise in Paris.
Lectures will present individual points of the Framework, issues of preparations and discussions of the educational aims of the Framework, as well as paths for possible application of the Framework in other activities in film education, particularly at the methodological and instructional level.
Part of the course will be critical evaluation of approaches in developing the Framework, analysis of individual instruction area and results which that Framework brings. Students will be acquainted with the overall concept of the Framework and develop a critical evaluation of individual areas or the entire Framework.

Lecturer bio:
The lecturer studied film research - philosophy at the FF PP in Olomouc. In 2002 was a co-founder of the film club PASTICHE FILMZ, and has collaborated with the Academia Film Olomouc festival, the Animated Film Review, MFDF Jihlava, and the Summer Film School at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. From 2007-2011 was artistic director of the Association of Czech Film Clubs and Summer Film Schools, and beginning in 2011 as an independent lecturer, dramaturgist and project expert. The lecturer has been involved with film education since 2003. From 2007-2009 he was part of the project team - Improving skills of High School instructors in film, theatre and media - at the FF UP Olomouc Dept. of Theatre, Film and Media Studies. Beginning 2007, the lecturer has prepared and developed the project Film and the Schools (AČFK), and collaborated on methodology pamphlets within that project.
In 2011 the lecturer became a member of the working group for film education at the MKČR and taken part in the British Film Institute international project to map out film literacy i Europe (Screening Literacy) and is a member of the expert team FLAG (Film Literacy Advisory Group) of the European Commission. In 2015 the lecturer took part in preparations for the Framework for Film Education, a strategic document of the European Commission.
