The aim of instruction is an introduction to the organizational, educational, financial and cultural-social practice aspects of regional centers in selected European countries which are devoted to film/audio-visual education. An important element of the education aspect is project considerations which the students apply in the preparation of a functional model of a regional center of film education/training in the Czech Republic.
Students learn to evaluate the Czech Republic situation from the financial, organizational and educational capacity aspects which those centers may have. An additional educational contribution for the students will be a model manager role play which they will be able to apply in the conditions and status of a regional center.
- Mode of study:
-
Use of project and conceptual thinking. Simulating the role of the manager through „learning by doing“.
- Prerequisites and co-requisites:

As well the research foreign websites of recommended organizations to become acquainted with the manner and offerings of individual regional centers or their networks (for more see the recommended literature).
- Course contents:

The interactive module presents how in selected EU countries (Great Britain, Poland, Denmark, Northern Ireland) the regional centers function in the awareness or direct training in film and the audio-visual. Examples will be used to explain what functions individual centers have, how they are linked to local institutions (schools, tourist centers, educational centers) and what role they play in the entire context of film training and education in the given country.
In connection with the first section, the students will be tasked to discuss, analyse and propose an „ideal“ model of a functional regional center for film/audio-visual education in the Czech Republic. The aim is to create a conceptual system which will sere as a basis for inspiration for existing (Center of Documentary Film Jihlava, Cineport Ostrava, Animanie Pilsen) or future regional educational center in the Czech Republic.
