Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of the module is to introduce students wih the develoment phases of the Documentary Dept. from 1961-2014 in the context of the history of FAMU and political events of specific years.

Interest in documentary film, film education methodology, FAMU history

Course contents:

Presentation of fundamental education concepts in documentary film instruction, its changes and presentation of key figures in the department's history. Each discussed development phase will include the screening and analysis of a sample film.
