Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Introduction to the phonetic, grammar and lexical basics of the German language.

Ability to react in simple everyday situations.

The A1 course is divided into two semesters. The first is concluded with credit, the second with an exam.

Mode of study:

Readings, listenings, presentation and practice of vocabulary and grammar structures, moderated discussions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course is intended for students who have not previously studied the language.

Course contents:

The student understands known everyday expressions and basic phrases whose aim is to manage particular needs and can use them. The student is able to introduce themself and others and pose simple questions regarding personal information, ex: about places, where one lives, about people which they know and about things which they own and is able to answer such questions. The students is able to speak simply if their partner speaks slowly and clearly.

Text A in each lesson are intended for practicing listening and conversational exchanges for frequent communications

Text B is for reading comprehension

Text C is a presentation and practice of grammar and conversation topics.

Conversation topics: In a restaurant, Shopping, Introduction to study terminology.
