- Specific admission requirements:

Successful completion of an entrance examination, which consists of a talent test, a theoretical test and a practical aptitude test. The entrance examination for the Bachelor´s programme tests basic musical prerequisites, knowledge of basic musical concepts from theory and music history, overall cultural orientation, language ability in two world languages of which English is required and the second world language is chosen by the candidate, managerial prerequisites, psychological skills and the ability to orient oneself in key economic concepts.

The programme does not have any specific requirements for the recognition of prior learning.
The procedure for recognition at AMU is governed by Articles 89 and 90 of the Act on Higher Education Institutions No. 111/1998 Coll., as amended, and by the AMU Attendance and Examination Regulations (Articles 8, 14, 18).

A completed secondary or completed secondary vocational education. Regulations: The Czech education system is governed by the Act on Higher Education Institutions, as amended (Act No. 111/1998 Coll.), and by the internal regulations of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

The Bachelor´s programme provides a basic overview of the subject of music management (in particular music agency, the record industry, publishing practice, the fundamentals of copyright law and economics within the scope of all sectors including instruction in two world languages with the requirement of drafting a contract and conducting negotiations).
- Key learning outcomes:

A graduate of the Bachelor´s programme in music management is able to work in organisations and creative units of the most varied music institutions in the public, non-profit and private sectors. He or she is sufficiently equipped linguistically to conduct negotiations with foreign partners and can prepare programmes for concerts and festivals or plan and realise recordings. He or she can work in the advertising or PR departments of music companies or in state administration.

Graduates of the Bachelor´s programme in music management apply their skills in all sectors of society: in the public sector, in civil society and in the private sector. The goal is to equip graduates of the Bachelor´s programme in Music Management with a knowledge of music, its economic underpinnings and the skills to succeed in the demanding conditions of the market economy. Their professional profile enables graduates to work in music publishing as PR managers, editors, creative workers and promotion managers, producers and production workers in orchestras, and agents in production centres.
- Access to further studies:

For graduates of the Bachelor´s programme in Music Management, it is possible to continue and study the Master´s programmes in musicology, theatrology or arts management. Also possible are lifelong learning programmes and seminars in the area of culture and language training.
- Examination regulations, assessment and grading:

Studies are assessed by credits and examinations stipulated by study plans. The student is informed of these through the information system.
The student registers for examinations using the information system, and is entitled to a second and third attempt to pass an examination. If neither of these attempts proves successful, the Dean may in exceptional cases permit a fourth attempt (administered by a commission). It is not permitted to repeat an examination for the main subjects or to repeat written examinations.
The credit is an ungraded form of assessment of studies. It is allocated upon fulfilment of requirements stipulated for individual subjects and is recorded in the information system with the word „Credited“ (Z). An examination is a graded form of assessment of studies, which tests knowledge and level of creativity in the relevant subject. In the main subjects, final examinations are administered by a commission. An examination may be practical, written, oral, or involve a combination of these methods. Examinations are graded on the scale „A, B, C, D, E, F“.
- Graduation requirements:

1) The student fulfils the requirements of the study plan.
2) The student defends a final Bachelor?s written work of the required length.
3) The student passes the state final examination, which contains the following parts as announced by the Dean of HAMU:
The state final Bachelor´s examination includes an oral examination in these theoretical disciplines:
a) The fundamentals of law and copyright law in the extent of the relevant law.
b) Music management in the extent of the profiling subjects. *)
