a) Introduction to the basic challenges placed on stage and film music with an emphasis on the distinctions of autonomous composition.
b) Work on a piece in collaboration with theatre, film, and, possibly, multi-media artists.
c) Analysis of important film and theatre pieces.
d) Analysis and discussions of students' completed works.

Knowledge of Composition theory disciplines. At least the basics of harmony and composition techniques.
- Course contents:

a) introduction to the basic challenges set in stage and film music iwth an emphasis on the differences from autnomous compositions.
b) Working on a specific piece in collaboration with theatre, film and, potentially, multi-media artists
c) Analyses of importing film and theatre works.
d) Analyses of and discussions over completed student works.
