Theory preparations for contact with an orchestra. Preparation and execution of a public concert. Definition of appropriate method approaches in orchestra rehearsals. The nature of conducting techniques.

Course contents:

Theory preparations for rehearsal with a professional body, scheduling, establishing working procedures and priorities, manners of performance, expression, behaviour, creation of model situations through questions and answers, selection of appropriate reactions to orchestra impulses, etc.

Recommended or required reading:

Selection of compostions is determined by the public orchestra concert dramaturgy.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Simulated analysis of subsequent rehearsals with an orchestra. Preparations for a concert. Credit.
