The aim is to teach students to independently implement figured and non-figured basso-continuo of 17th and 18th century German music.

Peformance of accordant compositions in class and in concerts.

Course contents:

Introduction to German Basso continuo.

Solo compositions for one instrument and basso continuo and chamber music with basso continuo by German composers (Telemann, Bach, Heinichen and others).

Assessment methods and criteria:

Active participation in lectures with instruction.
