Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Managing playing in a symphony orchestra, mastering compositions of a symphony repertoire. Emphasis is placed on the technical flexibility to master a composition in the shortest time. Independent preparation of a part in the bowing and fingering aspects. Introduction to the practical side of playing in an orchestra - following conductor gestures, collective interpretation thought, tuning and intonation, the role of the concert master and leading groups.

Czech repertoire orchestra parts and solos.

Recommended or required reading:

Scores and orchestra parts of Baroque, Classical, Romantic and modern epochs. Audio and video recordings of studied works.

Individual preparation for playing in a chamber and symphony orchestra.
