- Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course aim is to broaden knowledge in the history of dance. Lectures focus on a detailed historical presentation of particular developmental phases of dance, phenomena and figures.

- Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Completion of the survey lectures in dance history, i.e. Survey of the History of Dance and Ballet and Survey of the History of Ballet in the Czech Republic.

The content is determined by the focus of scheduled lectures in the History of Dance Music and Development of Theatre Dance of the 17th and 18th Centuries. See those syllabuses.

- Assessment methods and criteria:

Dependent upon the specific lecture content, credit is, in principle, awarded for participation in lectures and study of the assigned literature along with the passing of an oral exam: often part of the paper assignment requirements.
During the semester consistent reading of related texts, participation in lectures, completion of the written assignment and passing of the oral exam are required. The overall semester grading originates in the assessment of participation in lextures the written assignments and oral exam.
Conditions for successfull completion of the course: participation in lectures, reading of the assigned literature, written tasts, oral exam.
