Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Tap is a dance technique developing a sense of rhythm, balance, movement coordination and, as well, an internal elegance and spark. These are irreplaceable elements for the movement training of an actor. Also, in the term of the two year instruction students are in touch with the structure of a short dance peformance. This all expands the potential of a graduate of our department in the theatre. Knowledge gained in this course may be used in movement work in a drama theatre or in one's acting work.

The foundation of modern tap is, first of all, the practicing of basic taps, practice in carriage and joining rhythmic exercises into a larger whole. For the intermediate level, improvisation is possible.
