Learning outcomes of the course unit:

To introduce students to the basic topics of psychology for managers which may subsequently be applied in their management occupation.

Mode of study:

screenings, lectures, discussions, skills practice.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Students must have completed „Psychology for Managers 1.“

Course contents:

Management Psychology applies the theories and concepts of psychology for use in management. Lectures focus on the following issues:

1. Definitions of working groups and teams.

2. Recruitment and selection of employees

3. Communications in an organizational environment

4. Mental Health

Part of the lectures will be direct practice of management and coping skills in practice situations which can represent significant stress in the management profession.
