Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The purpose of the coures is to expand knowledge in sound techniques and electro-acoustics.

Course contents:

1) Basic elements of electro-acoustic systems, presentation of electrical, mechanical and acoustic systems principles, equivalent circuits

2) Electro-acoustical analogy, working with circuit systems and simplification methods, definition of electro-acoustic drives and lines.

3) Microphones - principles, construction, characteristics. microphone equivalent circuits.

4) Speakers - principles, construction, characteristics. speaker equivalent circuits.

5) Speaker systems - basic proposals and constructions, parameters. speaker system equivalent circuits

6) Active elements of electro-acoustic systems, amplifiers, pre-amps.

7) Measuring parameters and characteristics of electro-acoustic systems, level diagra. PPM and VU meters, Goniometers, co-relators.
