Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1. The course Videotechnology 1 (202VIT1) has the aim to acquaint students with videotechnology as technology with liberal limits of space ues in the needs for the Institution for Research and Study of Original Acting and the Dept. of Authorial Creativity and Pedagogy.

2. The instruction range goes from learning basic knowledge and skills with recording and reproduction video technology to independent managment of simple technology assemblies RECORDING - PRESENTATION (that is camera - projection) and in „extreme“ (in technology) theatre environments. Students are acquainted with the pitfalls of sound recording which are an inseperable part of the image recording.

3. Instruction covers the use of video technology in everyday life.

Mode of study:

Instruction takes place in the Institute for the Research and Study of Original Acting labs in the Tržište St. building through exercises. This is an introduction to video recording technology owned by the Dept. of Creativity and Pedagogy („band“ and „card“ digital cameras) and skills and knowledge practice in creating a video recording. This is „hand“ work with a device and assisting technology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

No requirements.

Course contents:

Video technology and video recording are, today, one of the key technologies for various analytical processes of everything relating to the internal and external world of man. For an objective approach to complicated and complex human issues, it is important to manage those technologies. Video technology helps to objectivize our management of our „equipped absence.“

1. Definition of the basic video chain (camera, player, monitor)

2. Working with a camera as a video recording source.

3. Concept of recording a space and its treatment.

4. Working with sound

5. Basic conditions for successful presentation (screening).

Manuals for instruction equipment used in the lab.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on activity in exercises and 80% attendance.
