Move from detail to the structure.

Creation of a motif, theme.

Syllabus:

Instrumental - every object has its own sound characteristics; a musical instrument has other sound characteristics.

Song - the human body has its own sound characteristics, the human voice has other sound characteristics.

Emotion in the form of sound.

Recommended or required reading:

Folk songs from various nations.

Recordings by jazz musicians.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on: activity in exercises, paper on movement and sound.
