Learning outcomes of the course unit:

To introduce the content of dramaturgical component from the perspective fo individually linked aspects, particularly in activities outside of traditional spaces.

Mode of study:

Contact lectures, analysed video-screenings.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

General knowledge of Czech and world literature.

Bearing in literature for children and youth.

Bearing in fine and musical arts.

Gradual expansion of knowledge of Czech and world dramas.

Gradual expansion of knowledge of theatre studies literature.

Review analysis skills.

Creativity.

A study of the history of Czech and world theatre including alternative and puppet theatre is required.

Course contents:

1. A detailed description of the dramaturgy part from idea to closing night and archiving.

2. Changes in and potenial of metaphor.

3. Interpretational and Non-interpretational approaches.

4. 3 interpretational approaches.

5. Dramaturgy and the presentation of theatre activity.

Additional dramaturgy course content will be individual consultations on projects. Those interested will be able to register for announced consultation dates.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Essay on a selected topic from the lecture series, defended at the exam or executed etude and task, attendance at colloquia, project concept.
