Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1.Expert training of actors for theatrical ensembles.

2.Care for the culture of the voice and the word.

3.Fostering of singing skills and proper habits.

4.Cultivation of musical feeling and perception.

5.Developing of sense of melody, rhythm and harmony.

6. Sight-singing.

Mode of study:

Instruction is done by contact (individual lesson hours).

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

To register for this course the student must have credit for the previous semester (204ZPE1).

Course contents:

Curriculum:

1. Breathing exercises- gradual increasing of difficulty.

2. Vocal exercises - pentatonic melody.

3. Repertoire.

Syllabus:

Breathing exercises of gradually increasing difficulty. Exhaling on -yo-, -mu- with the same power, then more softly.

Pentatonic melodies of vocal exercises are exchanged (major and minor).

Constant checking for a relaxed lower jaw and correct tongue position.

Melodic ornaments and preparatory exercises (basics).

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on participation in individual classes.

Completion of the ZK semester.

Successfull exam completion: Performance of one folk song with piano accompaniment.
