Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Uncovering the inherent laws of acting in a mask. Students have the opportunity to learn about various types of masks and their possibilities in working with children and youth.

Mode of study:

Analysis of media recorded examples, mask making, contact instruction, improvisation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course develops knowledge from the course „Masks- puppets“. Students are expected to actively participate in the course including preparatory work on performances with masks.

Course contents:

1. Neutral masks.

2. Larval masks.

3. Character masks.

4. Half-masks of Comedie dell' Arte.

5. Fantasy masks.
