Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course aim is to broaden students' abilities in the field and towards drama training and theatre with adults, and with various communities. The form of this work may vary -from regular work with an ensemble, to for example an adult theatre forum. In this form of drama training the student is guided to a consideration of the educational dimension of the work. During the course the student is to create a stage piece with adults wether it be in the form of regular work or a workshop, or may create and internal work project with adults which uses theatre tools.

Student:

- to identifie the similarities and difference in manners of working with children's groups and groups of adults,

- apply principles and manners of drama training in working with adults,

- guiding participants to active cooperation during the process,

- creating a stage piece with adults, or a stage piece or another form of drama training practice for adults,

- in working with the group, considering the educational value of the process.

Mode of study:

Classes, workshop, one's work.

The course is designed for two semesters.

Theatre activity in adult education.

Form and potential of theatre work with adults.

Society, community.

Working with a group on at theatre piece or work on an internal work project.

Students create at least a small theatre form with a group of adults, or a stage form for adults with educational goals (for example theatre forms, structured drama, etc.) or internal drama training project with adult participants.

Active joining by the students in work in the course and work on the results is assessed - stage presentation or education project.
