Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim is to guide the students to searching for lighting potential in modest conditions in which most children's and student ensembles work. An additional concept of the course is the discovery of various possibilites for modelling a space with light in theatre and drama training practice. To complete the course, students should have, as well, the fundamental skills necessary for mastering lighting techniques.

Mode of study:

Contact instruction, Discussion, Analysis of recorded samples, Review of stagings from the lighting viewpoint.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

- Experience in one's staging creations.

- Completion of courses in staging, set design and dramaturgy.

Course contents:

An elective practical and experimental workshop whose content is working with light in minimalist conditions of basic set lighting.

- Light and space.

- Possibilities of modelling a space with light.

- Lighting technology.
