1. A good bearing in the basic range and issues of literary theory for children and youth.
2. Development of the skill to interpret a literary work for children and youth, its structure and a good bearing in all its layers.
3. Recognize the value of a literary work and its potential which it offers to a creative instructor in working with children and youth
4. Opening the path to a good bearing in types of literature and genre variants important, particularly for literature for children and youth.

- Course contents:

This course provides the students with and good bearing in the basic genre areas of literature for children and youth and acquaints them with key figures and works. Based on the interpretation of an artistic writing, the students are acquainted with those specifics which lie in literature for children and youth, covering issues of function in relation to creating for children and youth, intentional and unintentional reading by children and youth and the relationship between literature for children and mladez and drama training.
