The instruction aim is to introduce students to culture management and support systems in European countries and a comparison of those systems with those domestic.

Mode of study:

Classes combining lectures and discussions and student presentations of their course paper.

None.

Course contents:

Cultural policy of European countries.

European Theatre systems.

Grant systems in selected cities.

Theatre system in the Slovak Republic.

Concept of national theatre in the 21st century.

Finance and management of opera stages.

Comparison of our system and European standards.
