Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1. To introduce students to the main foundations of the journalistic view of the world.

2. To teach student proper habits in communicating with the media.

3. To introduce students to the risks which arise in communicating with the media, and teach them how to face those risks.

Mode of study:

Lecture, discussion, analysis of samples of proper and improper procedures, practice exercises.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

No requirements.

Course contents:

1. Role of media in the contemporary world.

2. How to reach positive results in communication with the media.

3. Relation of form and content of journalistic communication.

4. Main risks in communicating with the media.

5. How to react to unexpected questions.

6. How to avoid answering questions.

7. Communcation in crisis situations.
