Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1. Introduction to the basics of sound (technolgie, work system, economic aspects) in theatre.

2. Introduction to scene lighting basics (technolgie, work system, economic aspects) in theatre.

3. Expansion of theatre stage equipment knowledge.

Mode of study:

Lectures, classes, demonstrations of light and sound use in theatre operation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Students must be prepared for the established demands of equipping a theatre space with equipment according to the production stage designer requirements.

Course contents:

Syllabus:

1. Basic schemes and systems of theater technologies.

2. Sound, sounding, sound technologies, sound engineer profession.

3. Light, lighting, lighting technologies, lighting profession.

4. Video, Video Technologies.

5. Technical and performing documentation.

6. Practical introduction to sound and light equipment.

Credit is awarded on following conditions:

- presence in seminars - 70% minimum,

- active approach to the study,

- final test (minimal point limit to pass is 51%),
