Learning outcomes of the course unit:

On completion of this module students have developed their skills in group discussions of (potentially) one?s project or presentation or even a point of view of a perception of a subject, the student will be able to think more deeply and critically. For Czech students it would give them more confidence to talk about their ideas in English and making connections within DAMU so that the students would collaborate.

Mode of study:

Seminar, discussion, individual research work.

No pre-requisites.

Course contents:

This class is open to students from all departments of DAMU, were they come and openly discuss of past, present and future projects, knowledge and experiences acquired, and various art forms that they come across in their daily lives. Young artists should learn how to openly discuss and exchange ideas and concepts, with the hope of someday working with one another. Students of more theoretical disciplines are invited as well in order to offer their critical insights and analytical feedback. The structure of the class would encourage active weekly research, with a concentration on presenting and discussing of the given subject. In turn by listening, analysing and criticising form one another.

Oral contribution during the group discussions: 20 %

Presentation in week 5: 40 %

Essay of 1000 words: 30 %
