Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of the first phase of the module is to complete the script for a short film.

The second phase is the implementation of the completed writing.

The intention of instruction is to create a literary script in which the writer shows the skills to work with a text as the recording of film language, review the future reader-director and investigate descriptions which allow for an unambiguous interpretation of characters and environments.

The director who takes up the writing is to attempt to understand it in its breadth, comprehend its origins and layers which in the result means the director knows thoroughly the artistic intentions of the scriptwriter.

The classes guide students to the rediscovery of principles of mutual artist communication which as a result, primarily enhances the work overall.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Both professions require a desire collaboration which includes receptivity to the particulars, character and the signature of the artistic partner.

Course contents:

Module is similar to classes whose aim is to prepare a short script (in an extent of approx. 15 min) and bring it to implementation.

The implementation sponsor is, aside from FAMU and Czech Television which financially supports the project and arranges them for broadcast.

The artistic intention of the module is to expand collaboration between the Scriptwriting and Script Editing and Directing Depts.
