Learning outcomes of the course unit:

In the Illustraction studio group class at UMPRUM and FAMU Scriptwriting and Dramaturgy Depts. is a workshop focused on collaboration on original comics. The starting point will be various comics books and non-traditional collections, which link samples of comics with other additional comics narratives animated and interpreted through the mystifying form represented by comics.

Course contents:

The classes cover the medium of comics as a full-featured artistic discipline which has the strength to compete with film. Students are to delve into the secrets of creating comics and, in working with artists in Illustration and graphics studios at UMPRUM, create the visual adaptation of their writing. The purpose of this work is the proceding to the visual depiction and perception of narration and story construction.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Judging the work as a whole. For the scriptwriter, a emphasis on the script, linking the text and the visual aspects, concept and shots. Collaboration with the graphic artist.
