Course contents:

Explication of the film chronicle concept, its history, conditions of rise, use and potential use in artistic and research activities. The particulars of the Camera and Documentary Depts. student group exercise. In the past 8 years several dozen potrait studies of Czech cameramen have been produced with the collaboration of the National Film Archive and its director Vladimír Opěla. Part of the module will be screenings of exercise samples and subsequent discussions.
