Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Students will actively become acquainted with the potentional of creating 2D drawn animation in Adobe Photoshop. This software in the last few years has developed and slowly become a complete animators tool. Adobe Photoshop is presented as an interesting supplement or alternative to programs such as Toon Boom and primarily in the implementation of an original drawn film. The course will focus on basic work procedures in this software, drawing manners and techniques, animation potential and interaction with Photoshop Adobe After Affects. Students will be acquainted with new options and tips that ease working with the given software. Each participant creates a sshort animation exercise.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

At least a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects software. A graphics notebook is necessary.

Course contents:

1) Adobe Photoshop as an alternative to softwares such as Toon Boom Studio, etc. Basic introduction to user interface.

2) Basics of digital drawing and painting in Adobe Photoshop (advice and tips)

3) Basic 2D animation in Adobe Photoshop (introduction to anaimation approaches and software potential)

4) Creation of background and simple characters + anaimation of simple scenes

5) Communications between Adobe Photoshop and post-production software Adobe After Effects 6. Space for consultaitons on one's project.

100% attendance, each participant creates a short animation exercise.
