Introduction of the students to the history, development and current trends and particulars of digital animation.

Mode of study:

Lectures with screenings of samples, analyses and discussions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

No prerequisites.

Course contents:

2nd year (Summer semester) course covering issues in directing animation films with 2D and 3D computer animation. Combinations with other animation technologies or feature films. An overview of the latest technical potential and trends.

Recommended or required reading:

Film studies, schools and independent creators involved in digital animation.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on completing at least 75% of the lectures.
