Everything you need to know about the festival strategy for your film. Which festival shall I choose? How I will find a suitable festival? Cannes or Berlin? Kyiv or Karlovy Vary?
What do I need to prepare regarding promotion? How long is the festival lifecycle of my short film? Shall I ask for a screening fee? How much would it be?
During this seminar we will guide you through the basic festival rules, introduce you tips & tricks, and provide you helpful recommendations and info.

Lecturer: Alexandra Hroncová
Alexandra Hroncová is the Communications & Festival Coordinator at FAMU. As well as managing media and communication activities, she mainly looks after the festival strategy for FAMU students’ films.
She has considerable marketing communication & events experience in both higher education and the private sector and has worked as head of communications departments for the Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague, the Czech Technical University, Eurotel, Vodafone, Philips or an important culture festivals in the Czech Republic. Her tertiary education marketing teams have won a number of awards from bodies such as Art Directors Club and The Academy of Sciences in the Czech Republic.
Alexandra had studied Theory and History of Film and Audio-visual Culture at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague and she is a PhD candidate at Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague, with particular interest in history of Czechoslovak television (ČST) during socialism in the ground-breaking period between 1968 and 1972. She conducts research in the Czech Television Archive and the Security Services Archive.
