The aim of this course is to encourage the creative abilities of students with a focus on conceptual work.
For students to keep a critical distance from one?s own work that results in its classification within a wider context. To work in the context of contemporary art without limiting factors.

This course focuses on reflection of the medium photography itself as well as on creative process in art and photography. All parts of the assignment provide sufficient space for the student?s own creativity. The course explores design of the photographic image, modernistic and conceptual approaches in visual art and photography.

Spring semester assignments
1. Reconstruction of the image, from still life to model and installation
2. Series of photographs as an individual interpretation of the theme (not mere illustration). Emphasis is put on the ability to come up with an innovative solution to the given assignment. Conceptual work is recommended. A written explanation must be handed in prior to starting with the assignment
