To sea a film not as history or a new aristocracy, but as an effusive and secret center around which passionately circulate: icons, desire, black and silence, indefiniteness, distance, nine images of the Vyšebrodsky cycle, topology, Auschwitz, trinity, description and more. - These are the topics of the lecture series in which their relationship to film is investigated: film problematizes or banalizes; film to which it is possible present as an analogy or in opposition to it; film multiplies its existence or gradually kills, etc...
The topics will not be covered by a systemtizing methodology, common scientific view; this is about „research“ about the unique. (R. Barthes - Light Chamber). This is rather about an understanding of individual phenomena which calm and harmonize our knowledge. This is that those phenomena become non-obvious, based on the known to open a space to the unknown. An inseparable part of the lectures will be film screenings (or parts of them), examples from literature and graphic arts and music.
