Learning outcomes of the course unit:

To learn the basics of fencing with a view to theatre practice.

Successful completion of 703SDA1

Course contents:

The realization of theatre fencing in the present day is subjective/objective - general/specific - stylized by the amount of knowledge and understanding of the time period of the fencing in theory and in theatre form. The theatrical form of fencing derives from two levels - the time period, and sport.

The 8th to the 20th class - repetition of learned exercises.

Learning theatre duels.

Finishes with - a short fencing theatre etude.
