Learning outcomes of the course unit:

This course is devoted to a contextualization of arts research, through presentation and group readings of source writings and monitoring artistic results

Mode of study:

A one-semester course arranged by the AMU Center for Doctoral Studies, concluded with and exam.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

The course is primarily intended for those who have completed Arts Research I, but is open to other doctoral study students. The maximum number of registered spaces is 10.

Course contents:

This continued course will focus primarily on three topics:

1. preparations for contributions to the conference Performance Philosophy (or an abstract or contribution to another possible conference opportunity);

2. interpretation of a writing in arts research: Klein, Sullivan, Kunst, Maeki, Auslaender;

3. elective participation in the workshop and activities in which theory and art are linked

12 - 13.5 RespondArt Festival.

A detail of the whole semester format will be made according to the needs of the participants a the first meeting on 24.2.

Assessment methods and criteria:

For sitting the exam along with class participation it is necessary to complete these tasks during the course: a critique, conference contribution.
