This course is intended to expand knowledge about orchestration and color imagination. An analytical view on the principles of orchestration is applied using scores and recordings. Individual approach according to students intentions is possible.

Mode of study:

Lecture and exercises - 2 hours/week.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Knowledge at the level of the previous semester.

Course contents:

An elective course continuing the previous instrumentation study.

Recommended or required reading:

Contemporary music scores. Special literature over technique and sound potential of individual instruments.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit based on the presented score and oral verification of knowledge.
